About Chelseaโ€™s Messy Apron

Chelseaโ€™s Messy Apron is all about real-life cookingโ€”recipes that are simple to make, packed with flavor, and tested until theyโ€™re just right.ย

Whether youโ€™re planning dinner for a busy weeknight, baking dessert for a party, or just trying to use up whatโ€™s in the fridge, my goal is to help you feel confident in the kitchen and have fun while youโ€™re at it!

Check out my recipe index for a variety of dishes that anyone can make, no matter your cooking skill level.

The Mission Behind Chelseaโ€™s Messy Apron

At Chelseaโ€™s Messy Apron, my mission is to make home cooking feel more doable. I hold the belief that cooking shouldnโ€™t be complicated. Through my step-by-step guides, vibrant photography, and expert tips, I strive to deliver dependable recipes that consistently work, all while using everyday ingredients.

My food philosophy is all about balance. I love a big plate of cheesy pasta just as much as a loaded salad bowl. Youโ€™ll find both here!

Iโ€™m passionate about creating recipes that bring people togetherโ€”around the dinner table, for a holiday party, or just for an easy lunch with friends.

Some recipes take months (even years!) to get just rightโ€”I take that time so you can feel confident the recipe will turn out every time.

About The Founder: Chelsea

Chelseaโ€™s Messy Apron started in 2013 out of my love for food and cooking, with a simple goal: to share delicious, tried-and-true recipes with everyone.

I was born and raised in Utah and still live there now with my husband and three kids. I received my undergraduate degree (B.S.) in Exercise & Wellness from Brigham Young University, with a focus on nutrition, personal training, and exercise physiology. When Iโ€™m not in the kitchen (which is rare!), youโ€™ll find me curled up reading a good book, going on a walk, or watching my kidโ€™s sports games.

I also love to travel, and honestly, my favorite part of going to new places is immersing myself in the local food. I learn so much about incorporating different flavors together and I love trying new dishes Iโ€™ve never tried before. I try to take a cooking class wherever I travel!
