Last-Minute Thanksgiving Treat That Always Wins!

Thanksgiving treats can be adorable, but some require serious decorating skills. Not these! Theyโ€™re so easy my two-year-old helped make themโ€”though he mostly just ate the Bugles, cookies, and M&Mโ€™s. His favorite? Bugles. Mine? All the M&Mโ€™s!

Thanksgiving Cookies are simple to make, just attach a Bugle to half a cookie and fill it with M&Mโ€™s. Just three ingredients! For extra stability, add frosting to hold the M&Mโ€™s in place, but pressing them into the Oreo filling works fine too.

Hope you love these as much as my toddler did. Happy Thanksgiving!

Ingredients

  • Golden Oreo Sandwich Cookies: Twist the cookies apart instead of pulling to keep the frosting intact for better sticking power in these Thanksgiving cookies.
  • Bugles: Pick ones that have a wide opening to hold more M&Mโ€™s.
  • Mini M&Mโ€™s: Press them firmly into the frosting or use extra Oreo filling to keep them in place.

How To Make Thanksgiving Cookies

  1. Split Oreos: If a cookie breaks, use frosting to stick it back together.
  2. Stick on Bugles: Press a Bugle into the Oreo frosting.
  3. M&Mโ€™s: Put bigger M&Mโ€™s at the bottom and smaller ones at top to make it look full.
  4. Make Sure Everything Stays: If needed, use extra Oreo frosting or a little store-bought frosting to hold the M&Mโ€™s in place.

Storage

Leftovers

  • Room Temp: Keep in an airtight container or resealable bag for up to a week.
  • Make-Ahead Tip: Store ingredients separately and assemble before serving for the best texture.

These adorable miniature cornucopia cookies are the fastest Thanksgiving edible craft treat! With just 3 simple ingredients and a few minutes to assemble, youโ€™ll have the cutest little desserts to impress your guests.

Ingredients

  • 1 package (14 ounces) Golden Oreos
  • 1 bag Bugles
  • 1 bag (10 ounces) mini M&Mโ€™s baking bits candies

Instructionsย

  • The ingredients donโ€™t have specific amounts, as youโ€™ll need to buy all those things anyway, and it depends on how many of the cookies come apart perfectly and how many Bugles look like cornucopiasโ€”you will likely have some leftover of both.
  • Separate the golden Oreo sandwich cookies and eat or save the side of the cookie with no frosting. I found the best way to separate the Oreos is by twisting the top off from the bottom.
  • On the side with the frosting, press a cornucopia-looking Bugle onto the cookie.
  • Press the mini M&Mโ€™s strategically in and around the bugle. Use extra frosting from cookies that didn't separate well if needed to get the M&Mโ€™s firmly placed on the cookies.
  • Alternatively, you can also use a tub of frosting if needed to pipe small amounts of frosting onto the M&M to get it very secure (I never found this necessary, but I also didnโ€™t transport these to any gathering.)
Final step! Please let us know how it was by leaving a review.

This is the kind of thing that reminds me how lazy I am. These would never get made if it was up to me. I would just eat each part individually and try to convince myself they were mixing together all pretty like this in my stomach XD
