This BBQ Chicken Pizza Recipe combines sweet BBQ sauce, tender chicken, melty cheese, pineapple, and bacon for a delicious meal thatโs so easy to make!

authorโs note
My Most-Requested Pizza Recipe. Period.
Iโm all about BBQ chicken on everything, so the moment I finally perfected my homemade simple pizza dough, I knew the very first pizza I had to make was a BBQ Chicken Pizza. Iโve been tinkering with the perfect BBQ pizza combo for years, and this is the one that checks every single box for me.
And yes, I know the pineapple-on-pizza debate is real. I get it! People feel very strongly. But when it comes to BBQ chicken pizza, pineapple absolutely belongs there. The sweetness with the smoky sauce and the salty bacon is just too good.
Top everything with my homemade BBQ sauce (or your favorite store-bought one if thatโs what you have on hand) and youโve got what just might be the best pizza combo ever. Itโs the one my family asks for over and over again, and the smell alone is enough to bring everyone into the kitchen before it even comes out of the oven.

Ingredients
| Ingredient | Helpful Swaps or Tips |
|---|---|
| Pizza Dough | Use store-bought, homemade, or a pre-baked crust for faster prep. |
| BBQ Sauce | Any brand works. Baby Rayโs is my fave when I donโt make my own. |
| Rotisserie Chicken | Shredded cooked chicken or pulled BBQ pork both work in this BBQ chicken pizza recipe. |
| Pineapple | Fresh is best. Canned works if well drained. Skip if youโre team โno pineapple.โ |
| Red Onion | Slice very thin so it softens in the oven. Leave off if preferred. |
| Monterey Jack & Mozzarella | Shred cheese fresh for the smoothest melt. |
| Bacon | Microwave bacon works great. Turkey bacon is another option. |
| Jalapeรฑo | Add after baking for a fresh crunch or skip for less heat. |
