This crave-worthy Valentine Snack Mix is perfect for February! Itโs filled with cereal, pretzels, M&Mโsยฎ, and coated in melted white chocolate. No baking required.

Valentine Snack Mix
Snack mixes are one of my go-to treats, and I think I have one for every holiday at this point (Christmas, 4th of July, Easterโyou name it!). With Valentineโs Day around the corner, I knew it was time to create the perfect V-day mix.
I think Iโve nailed the perfect combo of sweet, crunchy, and chocolatey. Itโs definitely going to be on repeat around here until Valentineโs Day.
Serve this mix as a snack or dessert, or package it up as a Valentineโs Day gift for family, friends, coworkers, or anyone else youโd like to treat.

Ingredients
- Corn Chexยฎ cereal: Use Corn Chex for a crispy base that holds up well with the chocolate coating.
- Mini pretzel twists: Use mini so theyโre similar sizes to the other ingredients.
- Rice Chexยฎ cereal: I love the mix of Rice Chex and Corn Chex, but you can use just one if needed.
- Honey Nut Cheeriosยฎ: For a less sweet mix, swap with plain Cheerios.
- Valentineโs M&Mโsยฎ: Give you that festive V-day look.
- White chocolate chips: Add a little oil to the white chocolate to help it melt.
- Optional: Valentine sprinkles: Adds a fun, festive touch.
Quick Tip
Donโt allow any liquid near the white chocolate; this will cause the chocolate to seize and harden. (Hereโs how to salvage seized or burned chocolate.)
How To Make Valentine Snack Mix
- Prep: Use parchment paper for easy cleanup when breaking the snack mix up.
- Combine dry ingredients: Stir gently to avoid crushing the cereals or pretzels.
- Melt white chocolate: Stir in small bursts to prevent burning the chocolate.
- Coat the mix: Work fast so the chocolate doesnโt harden before itโs mixed.
- Transfer to pan: Spread the mix evenly for uniform coating and crunch.
- Firm up: Refrigerate to speed up the hardening process.
- Serve: Store in an airtight container to keep it fresh longer.

Equipment
- Large sheet pan (15" x 21")
Ingredients
- 2 cups Corn Chexยฎ cereal
- 1 cup mini pretzel twists
- 2 cups Rice Chexยฎ cereal
- 2 cups Honey Nut Cheerios cereal or plain Cheerios
- 1 bag Valentineโs Day M&Mโs red, white, and pink
- 3-1/4 cups white chocolate chips just under 2 bags
- 1-1/2 teaspoons vegetable oil or canola oil
- Valentineโs Day sprinkles optional
Instructionsย
- Line a large sheet pan with parchment paper and set aside.
- In a very large bowl, combine the Corn Chex, mini pretzel twists, Rice Chex, Honey Nut Cheerios, and 1 cup Valentineโs M&Mโs. Stir to combine.
- In a medium microwave-safe bowl, combine 3 cups white chocolate chips and the vegetable oil. Microwave for 30 seconds, stir for 15 seconds, and microwave another 15 seconds. Stir until melted and smooth. If needed, return to the microwave for a bit longer. (Bursts of 15 seconds stirring for 10 seconds in between each burst). Pour the melted and smooth white chocolate over the snack mix.
- Working quickly, gently stir until all ingredients are coated in white chocolate, then quickly transfer to the prepared sheet pan and spread into an even layer. Immediately add the remaining Valentineโs M&Mโs on top and optional sprinkles. Optional step: Melt the last 1/4 cup white chocolate chips in the microwave and transfer them to a small plastic bag. Cut the tip off the bag and pipe stripes across the white chocolate snack mix.
- Allow white chocolate to firm up and harden at room temperature or place in the fridge until firm, about 10โ20 minutes. Break into pieces and serve.

Yay! Iโm so happy to hear this! Thanks Jennifer!
Just made this- so yummy! I have the mix in Tupperware Type containers to give as gifts. How long does it stay good for?
Iโm so glad you enjoyed! You can store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week in a cool, dry place. You can also refrigerate it for up to 2 weeks. For longer storage, freeze in a sealed bag or container for up to 2โ3 months. For the best crunch, enjoy within the first 3โ5 days.
This recipe was amazing! It was very simple yet turned out great! I will definitely recommend this to my friends!
Iโm so thrilled to hear this! Thanks so much Barbra!
Any other oils that can be used? Would avocado or coconut be good?
Coconut oil is great!
Can white chocolate bark be used instead of white chocolate chips?
Yep! White chocolate bark works fine โ just chop it first and melt gently so it doesnโt overheat.
Thanks for the quick clarification on white chocolate bark Chelsea! We have a big storm wintry mix coming through so I was able to pick up the last box of confetti Cheerios, which are little heart shaped Yummies to add in place of the regular Cheerios. This will be a sweet treat to share with others, along with hot chocolate or tea!
Blessings!
So thrilled to hear this! Thanks so much Cynthia!
Canโt wait to try this
