This Dole Whip Recipe is creamy, sweet, and packed with pineapple flavor. An easy Disney copycat you can make at home.

Taking Disney Home With Me!
As a Disney fan and foodie, the treats, Dole Whips, churros, and carrot cake cookie sandwiches, are always the highlight of my trips. Honestly, they’re the real reason I go.
And while I’ll take any excuse to go to Disney, it turns out craving a Dole Whip alone isn’t exactly enough to justify a trip. So I did what I always do and recreated it at home.
I ended up testing this recipe more than I expected. The first few batches were good, but they didn’t have that bright, fresh pineapple flavor I remembered from the parks. After a few tweaks, I figured out the difference: frozen Dole pineapple. Not just any frozen pineapple. It really does make a difference, and I think it’s worth grabbing the name brand if you can.
Once I nailed that, everything came together. The flavor is spot on, the texture is super creamy, and it really does taste like something you’d get at Disneyland. Now I make this all the time, and every time I do, it feels like a little bit of that Disney magic at home.

Dole Whip Recipe Ingredients
| Ingredient | Tip or Swap |
|---|---|
| Frozen Dole Pineapple | Swap with fresh, ripe pineapple that’s been chopped and frozen if needed. |
| Pineapple Juice | Use small cans of 100% juice for the best flavor. |
| Vanilla Bean Ice Cream | Vanilla bean gives the best flavor. Use leftovers in Churro Ice Cream Sandwiches. |
| Vanilla Extract | Optional, but adds a richer flavor. |
| Salt | Optional, but helps balance the sweetness and enhance flavor. |

How To Make This Dole Whip Recipe
It’s as easy as 1,2,3…
- Add: Combine the frozen pineapple, juice, ice cream, vanilla and salt in a blender.
- Blend: Blend the mixture until it reaches a smooth, soft-serve consistency.
- Serve: Serve the Dole Whip immediately for the best texture, just like at Disney parks.

My Top Tips For Success
- Use a strong blender: Blends smooth. If not, blend in batches.
- Get the swirl: Use a piping bag with a star tip and pipe into cups.
- Adjust sweetness: If this dole whip recipe is too tart, add powdered sugar or ice cream. Too sweet, add lime juice or a pinch of salt.

Dole Whip
Equipment
- Blender high-powered
Ingredients
- 2 cups pineapple frozen, see note 1
- 1/2 cup 100% pineapple juice
- 1/2 cup vanilla bean ice cream
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/16 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- The fresher (and riper) your pineapple, the better this copycat Dole Whip tastes. I like cutting up a fresh, ripe pineapple and freezing it overnight.
- In a large, heavy-duty blender, combine the frozen pineapple, pineapple juice, vanilla bean ice cream, vanilla extract, and salt.
- Blend until completely smooth. This takes a bit of patience because you’ll need to stop and stir the blender a few times. Avoid adding extra liquid as it will water down the whip, and it won’t have that soft-serve ice cream consistency.
- Optional: Once smooth, immediately transfer the mixture into a pastry bag fitted with a large star tip and “pipe” the frozen yogurt into serving bowls or cups.
- Enjoy immediately.
