Restaurant Style Marry Me Chicken in 30 Minutes!
Iโm honestly obsessed with all things Marry Me Chicken. From crockpot versions to pasta, tortellini, soup, and even pasta salad, I have made just about every variation out there. The flavors are completely irresistible, and it always turns into one of those dinners that feels like I spent way more time on it than I actually did. Every single time I make a Marry Meโstyle recipe, people love it and immediately ask for the recipe.
Because I had tested and loved so many versions, I realized something kind of wild. I never actually shared a classic, plain Marry Me Chicken recipe on my site. That felt like a huge miss. So I went back to the basics and created a version I canโt get enough of.
Simple, creamy, packed with flavor, and truly unforgettable. This recipe is hands down one of my favorite dinners Iโve ever made, and I still canโt believe it took me this long to share it.

Marry Me Chicken Recipe Ingredients
| Ingredients | Quick Tip |
|---|---|
| Sun-Dried Tomatoes in Oil | Use a splash of the tomato oil to sear the chicken so every drop of flavor stays in the pan. |
| Minced Garlic | Fresh-minced gives the best flavor, but jarred garlic works in a hurry. |
| Low-Sodium Chicken Broth | Balances salt levels while adding savory depth to the sauce. |
| Heavy Whipping Cream | Full-fat cream keeps the sauce thick and deliciousโlighter swaps turn it thin. |
| Fresh-Grated Parmesan | Grate a block on the fine holes for the smoothest melt. |
| Dijon Mustard | Brings bright tang to the sauce; skip it if you prefer a milder flavor. |
| Red Pepper Flakes (optional) | Sprinkle in for gentle heat and adjust to your spice comfort. |

Flavor Twists
- Add crispy bacon with the tomatoes for a little smoky depth.
- Wilt in a handful of baby spinach, or add capers like in my chicken piccata.
- Stir in sautรฉed mushrooms for extra flavor, similar to my Marry Me Chicken.
- Make it in the crockpot for an easy weeknight option.
- Share your own spin in the comments. Iโd love to try it![/variations]

- 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes in oil plus surrounding oil, see note 1
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 cup reduced-sodium chicken broth divided, see note 2

- 1/3 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese see note 4
- 2 teaspoons Dijon-style mustard
- 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
- 3/4 cup ribboned fresh basil .75 oz packet
Instructionsย
- Slice each chicken breast in half widthwise to create two thinner pieces. Pound lightly if necessary to ensure even thickness. Combine 1 tsp Italian seasoning with the salt and pepper and season one side of each chicken piece.
- Heat 2 tbsp of the oil from the sun-dried tomato jar in a large, heavy-bottomed pan over medium-high heat. When hot, add the chicken, seasoned side down. Season the other side with the remaining seasoning mixture. Cook undisturbed for about 4 minutes, then flip and continue cooking for another 3โ4 minutes or until the chicken is golden brown and fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 165ยฐF). Remove chicken from the pan and cover with foil to keep warm.
- Reduce heat to medium. Add another drizzle of sun-dried tomato oil (~1 tsp) and the garlic. Stir, but donโt let burn, about 10 seconds, then add 1/2 cup chicken broth. Stir, scraping up browned bits from pan. Let broth simmer for about 1 minute or until mostly evaporated. Add in remaining 1/2 cup broth, heavy cream, sun-dried tomatoes, red pepper flakes (optionalโadd to spice preference), remaining 1 tsp Italian seasoning, Dijon mustard, and Parmesan. Stir until cheese is melted and sauce is nicely thickened, about 2โ4 minutes. Taste sauce, and adjust seasoning as needed.
- Stir through basil leaves, then add chicken (plus any reserved juices on the plate) to pan. Spoon sauce over chicken and serve immediately.

This is one of my husbandโs favorite recipes. I think one month I made it twice! I love your detailed directions and videos. We are trying this with steamed asparagus on the side tonight.

This is the third recipe I have tried from your site, and its another hit!
I increased the chili peppers to 1 tsp and I replaced the basil with parsley because itโs what I had on hand. I planned to serve with penne and a last minute decision was to chop the chicken and mix it with the penne into the sauce. Soo good!!!
Iโve made other โmarry meโ recipes before but this might be the best.
