Everything Bagel Seasoning is one of my favorite seasoning blends! The applications for this seasoning are nearly endless—you can add it on homemade bagels, but it also goes great on eggs, avocado toast, or sprinkled into your favorite chicken breading!
(Read note 1). Measure out all the spices and stir them together in a small bowl. Toast (optional—see next step), transfer to a storage container, or add directly to the dish you’re preparing.
Optional Toast: If you’d like to boost the flavor, you can toast the seasonings. (Don’t toast if you’ll be adding this blend to something that will get baked; if you bake toasted seasonings, they’ll burn). To toast, add the seasoning blend to a small, dry skillet over medium heat. Stir near constantly for 3–5 minutes or until seasonings are fragrant and white sesame seeds are turning barely golden. Watch closely—the seasonings can go from perfectly toasted to burned in seconds! Remove from heat, immediately pour into a bowl, and let fully cool before adding to a storage container.
Before using, shake the seasoning up—the smaller spices have a tendency to fall to the bottom. Top whatever you’d like with the seasoning blend and enjoy!

Notes
Note 1: Not all salts contain the same amount of sodium, so if you aren’t using sea salt flakes, or you are sensitive to salt, you may want less salt. Add slowly and to taste. If you’ll be adding this seasoning mix to things that are already salted (like a bagel made with salt), you’ll want to reduce the salt.Storage: Store leftovers or full blend in an airtight container in a cool, dark place (like a cabinet or pantry). I like to store in small plastic bags or make a larger batch to store in a jar or spice containers. (I love these!) Stored properly, Everything Bagel Seasoning can last 6 months up to a year.
