My Most-Made Dip, Now in Chocolate

This Cream Cheese Fruit Dip is one of my most-made recipes because itโ€™s so quick to throw together and is always the biggest hit when I bring it to a get-together. It truly could not be easier. So a chocolate version felt inevitable. Once the idea popped into my head, I couldnโ€™t let it go.

If you know me, you know Iโ€™m obsessed with Nutella. I always joke that my last meal could be Teddy Grahams dipped in Nutella. So I knew I had to add it into this dip. And let me tell you, that was the game changer. It makes this the best chocolate fruit dip ever!

If you need an easy dessert that feels a little special but takes almost no effort, this is it. Itโ€™s creamy, chocolatey, and perfect with all your favorite fruit.

Cream cheeseUse brick-style, full-fat for the creamiest texture. Make sure itโ€™s fully softened so the dip stays smooth with no lumps.
NutellaHereโ€™s the secret to that rich chocolate flavor: a good-quality hazelnut chocolate spread! Nutella is the most well-known option and gives a great flavor.
Heavy creamWhip it separately to create a light, airy texture in this Chocolate Fruit Dip.
Powdered sugarJust enough to lightly sweeten without overpowering the chocolate flavor.
Vanilla extract & saltThe vanilla adds warmth and the salt helps balance the sweetness.

How To Make Chocolate Fruit Dip

  1. Soften cream cheese: Soft cream cheese blends smoothly and prevents lumps.

  3. Add Nutella: Beat until creamy and fully combined.
  4. Whip cream: In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream with vanilla and salt to stiff peaks.

  6. Serve: Transfer to a bowl and top with graham cracker crumbs or chocolate chips.

Quick Tip

Best Things To Dip?

A better question, what can you NOT dip in this chocolate fruit dip?! ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Fresh fruit: Strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, blueberries, bananas.
  • Storeโ€“bought cookies: Oreos, Nutter Butters, Pirouettes, Milanos, Girl Scout Cookies, or graham crackers.
  • Homemade cookies: These Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies are my favorite!
  • Other treats: Cubed pound cake, cubed Rice Krispie Treats, Brownie Bites, large marshmallows, or pretzels.

Tips for Chocolate Dip with Fruitย

  • Dry fruit well: Moisture prevents the dip from sticking. Let fruit dry completely after washing.
  • Skewer small berries: A toothpick makes dipping easy and mess-free.
  • Add chocolate chips: Mix in mini chocolate chips like i did it this chocolate chip dip.
