I live near a grocery store with amazing produce deals, and every so often, I score a whole crate of raspberries for the price of one container. Itโs always more than we can eatโeven with berry cheesecake saladโso I started making this raspberry lemonade.
After some experimenting (and lots of snacking), I landed on a version I now make year-round. Itโs refreshing, fruity, and a big favorite around here!

Ingredients
- Fresh Lemon: Skip bottled juice. Youโll need about 6โ7 lemons for 1 cup.
- Raspberries: Use fresh, in-season berries. Frozen works tooโjust let them thaw a bit.
- Sugar: Sweetens and balances the tart lemon.
- Cold Water: Dilutes the mix to the right strength. Add gradually and taste as you go.
- Salt: A tiny pinch boosts the sweetness and balances the flavors.

How To Make Raspberry Lemonade
- Blend: Mix lemon juice, sugar, raspberries, and salt in a blender until smooth.
- Strain: Pour through a strainer into a pitcher. Use a spoon to press out as much juice.
- Chill: Stick it in the fridge for about an hour, or in the freezer for 15โ20 mins to cool.
- Water: Mix in 4 cups of cold water. Taste and adjust. You can also try sparkling water.
Variations
Switch Things Up
- Mixed Berry: Use raspberries and blackberriesโor try this Blueberry Lemonade.
- Garnishes: Rim glasses with sugar, add a lemon slice, whole berries, or mint.
- Double It: Just double or triple the ingredients, tasting as you go for a big batch.
Storage
Store your raspberry lemonade in a pitcher or bottle (in the fridge) without ice for up to 4 days. When youโre ready to serve, pour it over ice and enjoy!

Raspberry Lemonade Recipe
Equipment
Ingredients
- 6 to 8 lemons
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 8 ounces fresh raspberries or frozen raspberries, packed 1-1/2 cups
- 1/16 teaspoon salt
- 4 to 6 cups cold water preferably filtered
- Ice for serving, optional
- Fresh mint for serving, optional
Instructionsย
- Combine 1 cup lemon juice with sugar, raspberries, and salt in a high-powered blender. Blend until completely smooth, about 60 seconds.
- Place a fine mesh sieve over a wide-mouth pitcher or wide bowl with a spout. Pour blended mixture through, pressing to extract all you can. I like to chill this mixture for an hour (if time permits).
- Pour strained raspberry mixture into a pitcher, then add cold water, gradually, until lemonade is to your liking. I start with 4 cups and taste, then adjust from there. (I like it best with about 5 cups, depending on sweetness of berries). Keep in mind, ice will water it down as well. Pour over ice and enjoy!
